Hey Sarah! This is Tu from Kazu's Acrylic Painting Class. I've always admired your work, but I remember being particularly awed by the Michael Jackson piece. Everytime I thought about celebrity portrait my mind always went back to that one piece by Sarah Weaver from Kazu's class!

In awe with your portfolio. Especially love Michael Jackson's "Boy Behind The Mask"

Also love that this was created before June 25, 2009.

Wonders if MJ himself ever got a glimpse of it...

Keep up the fabulous work.

Thank you for creating!

Your work is amazing in so many ways, Sarah - thank you for being such an inspiration. I'm not sure if you were informed, but this post was linked on ONTD - http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/43363419.html - where it currently has 289 comments.

Ignore the haters, they wouldn't know art/symbolism if you shoved it up their ass. ;)

I really like your "Boy Behind Mask" painting. Poignant comes to mind. Images that are "in your face" are turns off and your illustration of one of the great dancer/singer is just superb!

Please keep up the wonderful work. I hope you will have or perhaps already had a gallery exhibition to further your craft and reaching more audiences.

First off, I am impressed with every single one of these works.

Secondly, to the young woman saying, "But, Bill O'Reilly isn't a republican..."
I would beg to differ. I don't want to make this a political response comment blog, but what's NOT republican about him? The fact that he hates liberals passionately? Or the fact that he's a staple on Fox News?

Great work!

Someone is using your art as their profile pic. I don't mean to be a tattle, but I saw that you don't want anyone to use your art without permission. Just thought I'd let you know.

I'm glad I found out that you are the artist behind the Michael Jackson masterpiece. I have seen your painting elsewhere on the net and I had made a comment that it reminds me of Paul Laurence Dunbar's poem, "We Wear the Mask." I wasn't too sure if you were aware of the poem but that is what came to my mind immediately when I read it:

We Wear the Mask

Thank you for sharing your vision with us. I felt your painting on so many personal levels that I had to share my sentiments right here with you. Paul Laurence Dunbar's poem expresses exactly how I feel. xo

Hey Sarah. I love your work, especially the icons. I'm a college student and I was wondering if I could ask you a couple questions for a project? I'd really appreciate it.

I am Spanish and not speak or write in English but using an Internet translator I hope you can understand what I need to tell. (sorry if you misunderstood)
Spectacular! acrylic on Michael is a genius, thrilling, sad, touches your heart. What impresses me most is the mask, you've captured perfectly the Michael Jackson finally, finally died exhausted, shattered ... those eyes are stunning, and lost that glazed look says it all!, the discolored skin, sad ... always looking for that child to take in hand, playing, hiding ... can not say more with an image.

Congratulations!

I registered on this Blog just to be able to say this lol :)

Amazing work Sarah. A friend posted your Micheal Jackson painting on facebook. Can honestly say I've never been moved so much by a painting. Brilliant! You stirred emotion from me for this man that I never had before. She had re-posted and didn't mention your name so I commented and told your name and left a link to this page, and re-posted myself with links here. Great work.
